QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 60 College Hours or successfully passed Paraprofessional’s Assessment Exam
- Prefer valid Arkansas teacher certificate or College Degree
REPORTS TO: District Instructional Strategist and Building Administrator
JOB GOALS: To screen, plan and implement quality multi-sensory dyslexia interventions for students in need of support in small-group settings.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide specialized instruction under the supervision of a licensed dyslexia therapist/interventionist for students identified with characteristics of dyslexia as set by Arkansas state requirements.
- Provide support services for students experiencing reading difficulties in small-group settings.
- Collaborate with district and school staff in coordinating services for students enrolled in the dyslexia intervention program in multi-locations.
- Compile, submit and maintain periodic reports to district and school staff for accountability purposes.
- Communicate intervention progress to RTI Teams.
- Maintain accurate pupil accounting records in compliance with local and state requirements.
- Attend and complete professional development required for dyslexia interventionist per district requirements.
- Implement the PCSSD desegregation plan.
- Know Board of Education policies, District and school guidelines and regulations and adhere to the same.
- Other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Range 8 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($13.94/hr. – $25.81/hr. depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 182 contract days, 8 hrs. per day (elementary: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; secondary: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm)
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
