QUALIFICATIONS:                       

 

REPORTS TO:   Director of Transportation

 

JOB GOAL:       Assist Transportation in implementing State School Transportation policy.

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Recruit, select, replace, instruct, and supervise drivers and aides.
  2. Assist drivers with bus maintenance and safety concerns.
  3. Follow and check buses while in route.
  4. Assist in routing and scheduling of buses.
  5. Investigate accidents, road failures, and other problems associated with the school transportation operation.
  6. Prepare and maintain records and reports.
  7. Respond to after hour emergencies
  8. Perform staff evaluations.
  9. Report for drug/alcohol testing as required by Support Staff Personnel Policies.
  10. Assist in implementing the District's Desegregation Plan.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

Salary Range:           Range 1 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($182.62/day - $298.74/day depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract:  244 contract days

FLSA Status:             Exempt

Personnel Status:     Classified

EVALUATION:

 

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
